The best formula for your LinkedIn headline 🔥

Don't put "Open for PM roles", instead do this ⬇️

Hi friend,

If you are looking to break into project management or are a seasoned PM who is looking for a job or simply wants to have an optimized LinkedIn profile:

Your headline needs to stand out from the crowd. 🗣️

When recruiters or HRs are looking for the right person for the open role, they use LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, a candidate search tool. They put the filters they are looking for for the perfect candidate, hit the “search” button and receive a list of candidates that could match a role.

Those various filters should be your keywords. The headline is a perfect place for them.

So long story short - it’s crucial to have a nice headline, with the right keywords.

Here is the formula that tells a story & I recommend to use :

1) Your Target Role (If you are unemployed now) or Current Role @ Your Company Name

+

2) USP (Unique Selling Point), your value

+

3) Interests that are related to the desired job / your magic power

Here is what it will look like:

 Example 1:

Project Manager @ [Your Company] | Driving Teams to Deliver Results on Time and Under Budget | Passionate About AI-Powered Project Management

 Example 2:

Project Manager | Transforming Marketing Campaigns into Data-Driven Success Stories | Skilled in Leading Creative & Analytical Teams to Achieve Scalable Growth

 Example 3:

IT Project Manager | Bringing Complex Systems to Life with Precision and Agility | Focused on Seamless Digital Transformations and Innovative Tech Solutions

It works because it shows your target role, your specialization, your interests and your personality.

Fixing your headline will take 5 min, maybe less, but will make a huge effect on the first steps to Optimizing your LinkedIn page.
